Australian Native Gumnut Floral Pattern

A soft watercolour Australian native gumnut floral pattern featuring hand-painted eucalyptus-inspired seed pods with pink gum blossom details on a warm natural background.

Designed for fabric, wallpaper, stationery, packaging, children’s products, home décor, and art licensing, this botanical surface pattern brings a gentle Australian bushland feel to modern interiors and handmade products.

The soft green, olive, blush pink and cream palette makes this design suitable for nursery décor, cushions, bedding, kitchen linens, apparel, gift wrap, boutique packaging, and lifestyle goods.

With its relaxed watercolour style and native floral theme, this gumnut pattern works beautifully for coastal homes, cottage-style interiors, Australiana collections, nature-inspired products, and modern botanical fabric designs.

Family photo of Rachel and her 3 boys

A bit about me

I’m Rachel, a surface designer and mum of three boys, inspired by the quiet pockets of life and the small details that make a home feel like home. I’ve always loved the charm of old 80s high-set beach houses in soft pastels and white, the comfort of coordinating printed bed sheets, and the simple ritual of choosing a cup that matches my mood for a moment of stillness. My sketchbooks and half-filled notebooks follow me everywhere, capturing ideas in the in-between spaces of everyday life.

My designs are created for people who appreciate those same little things, the textures, colours, and memories that shape the spaces we live in. Whether I’m working from early-morning quiet or taking my boys on spontaneous mini escapes, these moments flow into my patterns and collections, giving them a sense of warmth, nostalgia, and gentle coastal calm.

If you’re drawn to artwork that feels personal, thoughtful, and rooted in real life, I’d love to share my designs with you.
